I agree as well. I think there is a lot of good that can be done. What exactly are you looking for from a JV partner?

 Thanks.

My ideal partner would be a local, experienced investor that would bring both capital and knowledge of the area. I don't have deep pockets (yet), but I do have some cash and am willing to provide the "hands on" management of the project.

Looks like I've posted in the wrong forum but can't move it. Sorry.

Looking for an investment partner in the KC area. There seems to be huge opportunity to make a difference on the East side along the Bruce R Watkins Dr corridor.

While I was born and raised here, we've been gone for nearly 20 years. I've invested and rehabbed in my own homes Florida, been the Finance Director for Habitat for Humanity in Manatee County, but Kansas City is a fresh start.

I'm looking for someone who will share my "Win-Win" philosophy. I am wanted to do my part in reducing the blight in Kansas City and make money at the same time.

As I said, I am seeing huge opportunity, but why hasn't anyone stepped up?

A great share. Thanks.

Another lesson to know your seller/buyer.

Happy Sunday Everyone.

While my partner and I had a rental years ago in Orlando, we let it go. What a mistake.

We always intended to get back into real estate investment but let other things get in our way. I had a real estate license when we lived in Florida but always felt I was on the wrong side of the business.

Lately my schedule had been fairly hectic but my partner stumbled across a Fortune Builders seminar and by happenstance I was able to attend. The seminar re-lit the fire within me and discovered Bigger Pockets while seeking an alternative source of knowledge and encouragement.

After jumping on one Brandon's seminars I was convinced this was the community for us. There are a lot of "gurus" out there who seem to only have only their own interests in mind. This community seems like it really likes to help each other.

A hard commitment will keep me from jumping in entirely until the end of May but am learning and preparing as fast as I can. I look forward to learning from many of you and taking in everything the site has to offer.
