@Michael Rosine, having my license has been incredibly helpful for me. However, I am a full-time agent and a part-time investor. If I were only investing I may not want to pay all the fees and take all the classes and tests required for agents. I think it also depends heavily on what type of investing you are doing and how broad your network is. Feel free to reach out sometime if you want to go over the specifics of being an agent or just to chat about investing in central ky!

@Michael Rosine, welcome to the investing world! Planning and networking are very important! Glad to see you are doing both! Feel free to reach out if you have questions about investment strategies or a potential deal you want a second pair of eyes on! Don't forget to check out the BP investment calculators. I have found them to be extremely useful for my own deals as well as my clients.

@David Fernandez, I can't speak to Northern VA, but here in Lex the market is currently very hot. From an investment standpoint it is almost too hot. Homes are selling fast at record breaking prices. Many realtors and lenders I know are expecting a slight dip in home prices in the coming 6 months, so it could be timed perfectly for an experienced investor like yourself to buy. But, overall, Lexington is a wonderful place to live and invest. Let me know if you end up choosing Lex. I would love to meet up and chat about real estate and just central Ky in general!

That sounds right. From my experience, most HELOC's are in the same general interest rate range.
