I thought of something regarding your chosen area of the 210 corridor you may or may not have thought of already, but just in case:
The LA county cities that border the West End (Claremont, Glendora, etc) are pretty different markets than SB county cities along the 210. You might want to consider specializing in one county or the other. And don't forget the North Upland/San Antonio Heights area, as well as the RC/Alta Loma areas, and of course the Chino Hills area. (I'm assuming by choosing the 210 corridor you're wanting to work with the higher end client).

Hi Aarin!
Congrats on both working towards obtaining your license and on the upcoming marriage!
I second all the votes here- live where you plan to work the business.
I currently live in Ontario. When I first started in the business, I lived in Montclair and worked the entire West End, plus the HD. Deals took me outside this area, of course, but work your farm primarily. You've chosen a great area. Great schools, neighborhoods, etc. If you would like to connect with me and pick my brain, feel free. I'll be moving to East Texas by the end of this year, but would still love to connect. There won't be much I will miss about SoCal, but I will miss the market!

Hi @TonyB
What type of accountant are you looking for? A general accountant, a bookkeeper, a tax accountant? Or perhaps you can share what you are looking for this accountant to do for your business?
I belong to several national accounting groups, and would be happy to provide recommendations, but it would be helpful to know what your needs are.
Cheers!

Hello, BP community!
I've been an official "member" of BP for awhile now, and a lurker for a couple of years. I accidentally found this fantastic social networking site when I was doing some research for a real estate investor I was working for, fell in love with it, and have been stalking the forums ever since.
I started in the business back in 2002, and came from a tax accountant background (real estate is infinitely more exciting). Since 2002, I have worked mostly the money side of the business, and recently worked for an investment company as a marketing and project manager.
I've dreamed of being a rehabber for the past 20 years, so it's time to get up off my butt and start making it happen.
I currently live in SoCal, but will be moving to the Tyler/Longview/East Texas area by the end of this year. (Would love to connect with others in that area!)
I look forward to stalking your posts - I mean being more active in the forums. Have a wonderful day!
