For November, as we continue to progress along these foundational topics in Real Estate Investing 101, we will start to finish the year's REI 101 curriculum out with a table top mastermind (open discussion) of strategizing how to take your next steps as a real estate investor.

What to expect? An interactive discussion with all in attendance on where they are, where they want to be, and strategizing on suggested next steps. If you feel stuck in your goals, this would be a great event to attend! If you are wanting to do more but are stuck in analysis paralysis, come join us!

We will be in the back side room on the parking lot side since there are multiple side rooms in that restaurant. We do encourage you to order something to eat and to bring something to take notes if that is helpful for you.

Interested in learning more about investing in real estate? We invite you for this “lunch and learn” type of setting. This will be an informal but educational based meet up that will reoccur once a month to cover an array of general topics that you would face in the real estate investing world. Come stop in on your lunch break and order some yummy food while you get a chance to learn and meet others.

New and experienced investors are welcomed to attend as well as agents looking to learn on behalf of their role in the industry. This event is FREE to attend thanks our amazing local s ponsors! So no worries, we aren’t looking to sell you anything just wanting to do deals. 😉

This is easily one of the TOP questions asked by new or even experienced investors. Lots of people wonder if getting licensed will help them with their real estate investing goals. What are the pros and cons? Should they invest the money? Will it make them money? Loads of questions to ask and consider. Come hear this compiled panel of experienced investors who are licensed and those are who are not to get a feel for the reasoning behind their opinions. Come with your questions and get ready to hear this question handled from different strategies and viewpoints!

The event venue has changed their name recently to Comfort Inn & Suites from Country Inn & Suites. Same location, just don't let the new name fool you. Doors open at 6:00PM and the meeting will start at 6:30PM. If you have business cards and/or a deal, bring them! There will be plenty of opportunities to learn, network and share local deals.

Our goal is to provide education that is coupled with actionable steps and networking opportunities at our meet ups without any pressure of a sales pitch. We welcome new and experienced investors as well as those who provide services to the industry to join us! Can't make this meeting? No worries! Check out our Facebook page to find the live streams of our meetings as well as different meet ups we may have throughout the month. Like our page if you'd like to stay in the loop!

THIS EVENT IS FREE TO ATTEND AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!

@Carl Bo Smith and @Jennifer White - Hey y'all! We will be meeting on Friday from 12-1:30PM within the Beau Rivage. It is a networking event for MS, LA, and AL investors attending the conference. The location is being redirected but there is a facebook event (feel free to message me for the link) where I am keeping everyone up to date. I'll be sharing from the stage at some point this weekend so I'll see if I can make an announcement on Friday before lunch as a reminder as well. Thanks!

Post: REI Pop-Up W/ Corey Thompson of Roughneck 2 Real Estate

Maybe you've heard of Corey before from his page and group, Roughneck 2 Real Estate. Or maybe you haven't had the pleasure yet. Corey's background in the oilfield and straight to the point, no B.S. approach to sharing about his investing experiences makes him unlike the #GURUS online. His company is growing rapidly as they invest all across the state of Texas. Mostly because he isn't afraid to take action! This guy outworks most.

While he is in town, I look forward to giving Corey a white board and let him do what he does. Teach. Without agenda.
Since meeting him, Corey Thompson has taught me a few things about:
- commercial real estate - such as apartments and mobile home parks
- the value of not underestimating or overlooking mobile homes
- building a team and leveraging your network
- buying houses off of Facebook
- taking action repeatedly
- the importance of reserve accounts as a landlord
- property management in general
- questioning gurus and playing a part in cleaning up the marketplace.... among other things.

So come join us for this pop-up about real estate investing. Corey will tackle a range of topics but you won't want to miss what he has to share. It's free to attend and open to the public.

A little disclaimer for those that need it. Corey's known as the Mother F*cker of Mobile Homes. If curse words bother you, think twice about if you'll want to let that keep you from attending. My suggestion: don't throw the baby out with the bath water. Lots to learn here!

Networking before and after. Doors open at 6PM and event ends at 9PM. Corey can start sharing at 6:30. Bring your business cards and something to take notes with. I know I will!

For October, we will be discussing some vital ingredients in your success at building a portfolio and business in real estate investing. Two main factors are the building of your team (local professionals, allies, AND even employees) and treating this like a business. Often times many struggle, fail, or get discouraged because they don't have the right team or understand the business side of investing.

Investing is a team sport and if you treat this like a business, it'll pay you like a business. Come learn some practical tips on these topics that will help you work towards more success.

Interested in learning about this either for yourself or for your clients? Come join us!

We will be in the back side room on the parking lot side since there are multiple side rooms in that restaurant. We do encourage you to order something to eat and to bring something to take notes if that is helpful for you.

Actually, all of our events each month (we have more than just this one) are FREE to attend thanks to our amazing local s ponsors. You can find out more about our local s ponsors here: ww w.lanorthshorereia. com/our-s ponsors. They are great resources for those looking to take action either by finding properties, getting a loan, insurance, a good contractor, etc.

Often times as investors seek out discounted real estate to buy, they find properties where the owner has passed away and nothing legally has been done yet to pass the property along to the heirs. Jared Miguez and John Stephens of Fleur De Lis Title Company will be helping us understand how to deal with properties like this and other probate scenarios. Investors and local professionals alike are welcomed to attend this event!

The event venue has changed their name recently to Comfort Inn & Suites from Country Inn & Suites. Same location, just don't let the new name fool you.
