Thank you @Michael Noto. I consulted with Ted and while he was great, he did not offer to take me on as a client and referred me to someone else. I interviewed that person; am interviewing another tomorrow; and, am looking for at least one more tax professional to speak to before I hire someone.

I am a newer investor seeking a tax professional with REI experience.
In case it's relevant, my property is in CT and I live in WV. Not in an LLC currently.
Cost basis will need to be established.
I am looking to interview and hire someone within the next couple of weeks.

@Paul Sandhu
Back in January before all the craziness started I bought rolls of bamboo TP online from Public Goods since I wanted to get more sustainable. Not sure they still have any.

@Pat L.
This article, for me, made me understand why many of us - myself included - tend to give up on things.
It also gives us a chance to recognize the flaw and adapt our thinking to not sabotage our goals. What is the saying, “admitting you have a problem is the first step in solving the problem” or words to that effect?

@Anson Young
I’m glad you found value in the article.
I haven’t read “Grit” yet, I’ll add it to my (huge) list!

@Derrich Phillips
It’s been a couple of years since this post but I’d like to hear how it went and what you learned from the process. Are you still active?

Thank you Alex Furini for the reply and the excellent advise.
There have been at least two such conversations in the past in same city: one a former school into condos and the other a mill into apartments so the precedent of is there.
I’m presently researching the developers of those projects now and plan to contact them to get their feedback on the process; and maybe get some “this is what I’d do differently” info.
