how to go about getting a 20k loan as gap funding my portion of deal?

hello I'm from New Orleans as well I hear there are a bunch of properties being liquidated I'm in California now but I definitely want to connect with you abt investing. I have a couple of friends that said they bought distressed houses for under 10k
