The last Thursday in July is approaching fast! Join myself and other BP members for our monthly Wallingford Real Estate Meet-up. This is event is not just for investors in Wallingford, but for all of New Haven and Hartford County. Due to the growth we have seen over the past couple of months, we will be meeting at Sliders Grill & Bar in Wallingford at 7pm on Thursday July 26th to network and help each other build our real estate businesses. This month we will be discussing the 90 day challenge and goals. With the first half of the year behind us, are you on track to hit your goals for 2018? Whether you have been investing for 50 years or have yet to close on your first deal, this event is for everyone. Whether you have a deal, looking for a deal, flipping, or holding you will benefit from this event. Share experience and stories while learning and helping others. This event is open to everyone and feel free to pass this along to anyone you know that is interested in real estate. We will have a few tables on the left side of the bar, just ask the hostess and they will be able to point you in the right direction. If you are unable to attend this month, keep an eye out for future meetings on the last Thursday of each month.

Thank you for the information. This makes sense and is what I was reading when doing my research on the auction site but the letter I received made it seem like I owe all of the back taxes and fees due on the property. I think I received the same copy of the letter the owner received.

I will clarify that I spent $105 on the original lien. I figured at that cost even if I somehow loose my full investment it is worth the cost of going through and learning the process. I will have to reach out to the tax assessor and just confirm everything with them. Because all of this information is public, I want to make sure it is not some type of scam from someone who found my information and just sent a letter.

Correct, I do not know how they work. If everyone knew everything about real estate investing these forums wouldn't exists.
I did pay for the costs a couple months ago for the property to be brought to auction. The wording of the certified letter that was sent makes it seem like I have to pay for it not to go to auction.
If anyone else has any helpful information it would be greatly appreciated.

Good Evening,
I purchased a tax lien a couple years ago and the owner never paid. I filed for the deed and received a certified letter last week that if I did not cover the cost owed that it would be sold at auction on July 31st. I feel like it was a quick turn around and that was the first noticed I received regarding any information. I am not sure if I missed another notice or if that is how the process works. Has anyone had experience purchasing tax liens in FL? Looking for any type of information or advise.
Thanks for your help!
Chris

Good Evening,
I purchased a tax lien a couple years ago for a vacant lot in Sarasota off of Fruitville Rd near Bobby Jones Golf Club. I do not know anything about the area or what my options are as far as selling it or potentially building on it. Does anyone know an agent or investor that is familiar with lots or development that could provide some information or share their experience?
Thanks for your help!
Chris

Is there interest on the payments? Show him the future value. Will be well over a million even though the principal amount is less than a million.
