Quote from @Gina Fosso-Schibley:

Hi Christian!

I am somewhat new to Bigger Pockets, but not new to real estate investing. I am in the Indianapolis market, just south of you. Our market is still great, great pricing, and a solid opportunity to acquire off-markets as i work with wholesale partners, but a very savvy agent that can negotiate well for STR or long term rentals and great with understanding the best possible options for an investment property. I work with a handful of repeat clients who have succeeded and profited very well with all exit strategies. Would love for you to consider Indy as a target area for investing in real estate. Fantastic opportunities with an abundance of redevelopment and restoring of classic, historical areas. Thanks! Gina

Hi Gina,

Thanks for reaching out. I have looked into Indianapolis as a possible out of state market given the strong market conditions and growth that the city is expected to see over the next 20-30 years. I would be happy to set up a time to discuss further. Thanks!

Quote from @Jarret Jarvis:

Hey Christian, welcome to BiggerPockets!

Great to see another investor getting started in Chicago—lots of opportunities here. Sounds like you're already diving into the BP content, which is a solid foundation. Are you looking at any specific strategies right now (house hacking, BRRRR, multi-family, etc.), or still exploring options?

I’m in the real estate and mortgage world here in Chicago, so if you ever want to chat about financing options or general market insights, happy to connect. Looking forward to seeing your journey unfold!

 Hi Jarret,

I am still searching what would work best but it sounds like the Chicago market would work best for house hacking, possibility in multi-family units but I am also interested in BRRRR if there is the right opportunity. Would be happy to connect.

Thank you. I appreciate the breakdown there between how some might handle the relationship.

When looking for a mentor, what's something you think newer investors can do to add value to the relationship and make it mutually beneficial?

@Aaron Zimmerman will do. Thanks Aaron. It looks like there is already an event I was planning on attending.

@Paul De Luca I have been mostly looking into long term rentals so I am considering between house hacking and buying investment properties for the sole purpose of renting them out. I am also consider some rehabs since that might be the best way to find deals in my area.

@Brie Schmidt Thank you Brie! I currently live on the north side so I am trying to see what areas would make for good buy and hold investments. I am also trying to see what other investors there are in Chicago and how they have found success.
