@Patrick Wheeler thanks. The property is in East Bridgewater, prices pushed me further away from the city than I hoped. I'm doing an FHA and plan to refinance as soon as I can. I did find it on the MLS, it had gone under contract twice before my offer got accepted, I kinda just kept bugging the agent as to why it was still listed.

Hey all. I've been on BP for a while now reading posts and am finally coming close to closing my first deal south of Boston. Fingers crossed I'll be closing in 10 days. Got a multi-family that I plan to house hack and hope to start growing a portfolio with this strategy. Would love to hear from people in the area with similar goals and previous experience.

Hi Henry,
I just had a home inspection done for a 2 family I'm buying in East Bridgewater. I called Tiger Home Inspection and they sent out Charlie Pratt. He was there for over two hours and on his hands and knees in the 4ft tall basement for half of it. He was really knowledgeable. I plan to only use him moving forward. I know not everyone loves tiger but it all comes down to the actual inspector.

I like neighborhood scout for extremely detailed info. I'd start there.

I really like the trulia crime maps. It's up to date so you can see exactly what is going on in specific areas. Neighborhood scout will make you pay for that info.
