UPS mailbox is usually a better option for a couple reasons and they are typically pretty close in price.
1) You can use a street address so it looks similar to a condo/apartment address rather than a PO Box.
(ex. 123 Main St. #200)
2) USPS PO Boxes do not accept packages other than USPS packages. So any shipments from FedEx/UPS will not be delivered. UPS will accept packages from any carrier including ones that need a signature, and most locations even send you an email when you receive a package.

@Jathin Reddy Yes you can definitely get postcards for cheaper than .80 per. Pricing is usually always going to be quantity based. You can get them for less than half that cost if you up your list to at least 550.

Where you are at or where the mail is going generally does not make a difference. All mail goes through USPS so postage will be the same regardless of the company. The only difference you could see would be delivery time by a couple days, first class mail by a company mailing from the same city its being delivered to will take 1-2 days whereas that same mail coming from out of state will take 2-5 days.

There's several direct mail options other than just Yellow Letters. We recommend diversifying your message with different mail pieces.
There's a reason Coca Cola owns multiple water companies. Different messages attract different people.

"Reasonable budget" would be what you are able to afford. Figure out a dollar amount that you are comfortable sticking to for at LEAST six months.
Response rates also differ greatly depending on the mail piece. If you send postcards and are expecting 5%, you're going to be highly disappointed.
