@Gina Robertson We loved that stretch of area south of ft myers to marco island (naples was probably our favorite). Just depends where I can land a role :) That is awesome to hear. I'm not personally interested in worrying about multiple SFH rentals either and am more interested in multifamily aside from flips although the condo space seems interesting for Florida with str or even for ltr. @Matthew Rolf That is good to hear! I lived in Ft Worth for a couple of years pre covid and loved it. Not sure how much it has changed since.. Having an entrepreneur mindset I don't see myself not starting another company down in Florida to be honest however initially I'm sure I will work a W2 role starting out while I assess my next move and gain contacts in the area figuring out what that would look like. Feel free to reach out if you ever need anything or would like to connect. I just accepted your request. 

@Shawn McCormick I would be happy to hop on a call sometime to chat. I think I will work a W2 role when I first get there to see if that is something even worth getting into again down in Florida or if there is a need with pm companies and investors possibly. I think it really boils down to where I can get work since we can live anywhere in the state with her job which makes it more flexible for me to find a role initially. I'll add you now and we can chat sometime! 

@Ryan Spath Hahaha. Great advice and we are already on the same page with those things. We have visited quite a bit which makes it a little easier on knowing different areas a bit. We definitely budgeted an extra $1k a month for the first 6 months or so to get a pool with our short term rental. I will add you and reach out if I happen to land over there! Thank you for that. If you happen to ever invest in Indiana or considering it let me know and I'd be more than happy to share my contacts and knowledge of the area. It's a hot spot for OOS investors. 

Hey Everyone, 

As the title says I am relocating to Florida late next month and would love to make some connections and get advice on any meetups that may not be on BP or meetup. I posted this in Orlando but I am unsure where we will live just yet. My fiance's new job is remote but will require us to live in the state of Florida which is why we are relocating. A little blurb about me and my experience:

Years of property management and construction project management experience lead me to owning a GC company focusing on investor flips, property management turnovers and remodels in Indianapolis Indiana. After partnering with a local property manager in that business it led me to consulting another property manager in transitioning to using in house crews to handle maintenance and turnovers taking advantage of revenue potential not previously tapped into. I have done a few personal flips where I have partnered with other investors and am interested in flips as well as multi-family value add. 

Now I am relocating to Florida and seeking new opportunities and connections in the sunshine state! No clue what is in store for me but excited to meet linkeminded people and provide value wherever I can! Feel free to connect and dm me if I can be of any service :)
