@Jeff Langley Very valid point lol, and "pay to play" aspects always take a hit much like the meetup app did

@Collin Hays collaboration used to happen and then they moderated too much to where people couldn't post much or really network. Now its relaxed a bit but everyone got fed up with the moderation or the swarm of people using AI for everything (still see certain people in cough cough* tampa forums doing it consistently). To be fair entrepreneur and real estate meetups also seem to have gone down alot as well....

Anyone have experience buying service based businesses to scale? I was a part in scaling a startup to multiple 7 figures for someone else in my mid 20's and after learning every aspect of that business I grew my first business (handyman/gc in the real estate realm) from $0-$1m in less than 2 years. After solidifying my knowledge and skills in my first entrepreneurial endeavor and learning the processes, I am ready to once again become the "operator" and scale past $10m++ on my next venture. I have already made a connection ready to be the gp and put up the liquidity required for the sba loan but I have personally been seeing alot of bull crap on bizbuysell and similar sites lately. I understand this industry there are alot of backroom deals so just trying to connect with people in the space that may have connections to brokers or business owners and/or others that are hyper focused on serial entrepreneurship and wants to grow a service based company.

@Jared Fisher It is one of those areas that alot of properties look good on paper but there are alot of messed up houses internally. Feel free to pm me. My old business back in Indiana flipped a bit of homes there for investors and have dealt with pm companies in the area.

@Remington Lyman Unfortunately much like alot of other "networking" sites they always start off great, a ton of collaboration and meaningful connections, then it gets bigger and companies start charging or start OVER moderating posts, driving alot of the engaged users out.. This site was amazing 10 years ago with seasoned investors actually wanting to help but alot of things have happened along the way to drive alot of them out. Now it seems they are backpedaling being a little too lenient on moderation after being so strict for so long.
Post: Storage Units? Marine Slips?

@Henry Clark interesting, thank you for bringing a specific example. I am definitely looking at dry storage for now for boats and rvs. I came from indiana owning a GC company there and after doing so much research and walking into storage unit places gathering pricing there its definitely an overlooked strategy that is simple. Location seems to be the #1 key other than that demand is always there.
Anyone know of any marine dock/lift builders for boats in Florida? Looking for smaller crews not larger companies and not general contractors who sub it out (We will be marking it up to our clients). We have a need sometimes for either new installation or repair on existing. Could be a lucrative partnership with the amount of jobs we have accross florida and the marketing we have behind us to get more work.

Anyone know of someone in Florida investing and building storage units? Also looking for anyone tied to the marine/marina industry. Looking to connect and learn more about the industry since moving down here. Thanks!
