Post: What's important to ask a PM for STR

So to reiterate for everybody telling me not to do it, I run a meet-up group and was contacted by a company that owns a str mgmt. company who wanted to speak at one of my groups. I am not interested in it myself but there may be people that come to my meet-up that may be interested. Some people do not need the cash flow and would rather have a vacation home that they don't need to take care of and it pays for itself or costs them very little. Thank you @Benjamin Vail,@Account Closed for answering my questions.

So my business partner and I @Bjorik Mutize operate a local real estate meet-up in Minneapolis and I was contacted by a company that specializes in short term rentals. I have no experience in these besides reading these forums and a few podcasts. My questions are; what percentage is typical for a one stop shop to charge, what would you expect from a company that is a 1 stop shop, would you use a pm company that is not local to where your rentals are? Please mention anything else that would be important when considering a pm for your str.
Thank you all!

I have come across some large multi-family deals that have section 42 (LIHTC) units. I have read some of the threads on this topic on here and it seems the general consensus is that a syndication group should NOT deal with these properties without including somebody who; either has done deals with tax credits or bringing a team (lenders, attorney, cpa…) that specializes in tax credit deals on board. Have also read some lenders will not lend to people on these properties who have not done these deals. Is there a way, to either teach yourself through books, podcasts or blogs how to correctly handle these properties or are there people in the Bigger Pockets community that would be willing to help mentor me on this topic? These tax credit properties seem like they are a lot of work but seem like they can be very fruitful. Would love to learn from some of you successful investors.
Thank you!

@Christopher Hunter yes I have and other sites such as commercial exchange and RPR and others. Just wanted to talk to someone that knows the area and could help me understand where people enjoy living and why. Was hoping to speak with people who aren't brokers before I go speak with brokers about an area I know nothing about.

Hey fellow investors, does anybody currently invest in Multi-Family or know anybody that does in the Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers, AR MSA? Would love to chat and learn more about that area and what makes it appealing. Thank you!

@Zach Ataiyan thank you for showing interest in our meetup! I do not post on BP as I am not a pro member (yet) but my business partner @Bjorik Mutize does post it on here and we also post about it on meetup. The name of that meetup is MN Lake Areas Real Estate Investing Meetup

Hi everybody my business partner @Bjorik Mutize and I officially launched our real estate investor meetup with our first event last Monday! For our next event we were thinking of bringing in a CPA who deals with real estate investors. Does anybody have suggestions for a CPA they have used or a good company we could reach out to? Thank you all!
