Hey Vance! Great job getting started in real estate at such a young age! I admire your ambition to get started even before turning 18. Maybe the best plan would be to network and self-educate from now until you turn 18.

I have a book (published by BiggerPockets) that you might find helpful. It’s called 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧.

I also run a networking group for young aspiring/beginner investors (between 15 and 26 years old), and one of the things we do is have a few Zoom meetings every month. If you'd like to join one sometime (no cost!), just let me know.

Hey @Hayleigh Harper! Great job getting started in real estate at such a young age! Wholesaling is a low-cost way to get started in REI, but it is not as easy as some make it out to be. It's a tough slog, but it can be worth it if you have the determination and drive to keep grinding.

What happens if you're the buyer of a sub to deal and the person with the financing in their name dies?

BiggerPockets has the perfect book for you. Check it out. I think it will answer a lot of your questions.

Stop hawking useless books to a teenager.  Have some self-respect.

Calvin - you got to check that ego, my friend! Are you anit-books in general?
I think many people would agree with me that spending $15 on a valuable book can have nearly infinite returns to one's future. Yes, there are many free resources out there, but books are one of many low-cost educational pieces that pretty much everyone agrees are worth the cost.
Happy reading!
