I live in Japan and bought a SFH in Hawaii. I just have a good property manager so there really isn't anything for me to do.

Hi @Dana Bull I am originally from Boston living in Japan.   I am interested to learn more about the Salem market; properties, rental trends, property managers (as I'm remote).

Hi

I'm exploring different ways to get into Real Estate and I was talking to my brother and a house down the street from him was foreclosed and is going up for auction.  I wasn't thinking about this way but since my brother knows the area well he could partner with me on the deal.   The place has been vacation since January or so but it's in a relatively nice neighborhood.

I've never bought a property via an auction. What are the things you need to consider? Can you still do an inspection similar to buying a house off the MLS or are these types of Auctions 'As is'?

Thanks

Dave

Hi @David Gotsill thanks for the mail.  I don't think I can make this Thursday but I'm going to try for the next one.   I sent you a connection request so we can connect and figure out a time to meet up.  I'm good for lunch or coffee on Friday if you happen to be free.   I'm exchanging some mails with @Daniel Mills as well.   Thanks for the connection.

@Account Closed I would love to sync up. I haven't some someone who can make me comfortable with Japan Real Estate so I would love to chat. I do qualify for 100% LTV loans in Japan. What type of properties have you invested in Japan? I work in Roppongi. Are you ever in the area during business hours? If so, let's catch up for a coffee.

Someone send me a link to this thread.  Worth a read if you are thinking about Turn Keys:

Who did you decide to go with @Steven Dreyer?   Was there anything that you found that made you not want to go with Memphis Invest?

Thanks @Steven Dreyer.   I spent a few hours looking at all of the different companies.  The most impressive I have been able to find is Memphis Invest which invests in Memphis, Dallas and Houston.   They seem very sharp.

@Steven Dreyer I'm open. I'm new to this so not closing off any areas at this time.   Do you have any recommendations?
