I want to make an offer on a property but the listing realtor is not retuning my calls. It is a flat rate type " help you sell" type office. I can't believe an REO has used such a service. Can I go over their heads somehow???

I've been curious about the counter top refinishing, I've seen on TV, you sand, apply adhesive and then flakes, sand again and its a new counter top. Has anyone tried it???

Talking about double tapped breakers (putting two wires on a breaker), it isn't illegal, you just have to follow manufacturers instructions. some allow it!!! I never met a home inspector that knew it....

Before I install a pump and tank, I'd ask the installer to attach a hand pump and make sure the well has water...

Never use an unvented one, but they make great ones that vent right out the wall behind the unit, I've had a couple and they are real efficient heat. Rinnai is the most common around here, a link to them below:

I do electrical work for flippers, I can't believe the things home inspectors come up with. The owners say go ahead and do it, its cheap, but they (the inspectors) are just wrong! The most common thing is they want way too many GFI's, Basement sump pump and washer outlets don't need to be GFI protected if they are single (as opposed to duplex) outlets! Detached garages don't need GFI protection for outlets! Just my pet peeve and I had to vent....

Do any of you have a clause in your lease to inspect the property, say every 90 days or something similar? I have to keep after him about trash outside, do I have a right to want the inside reasonably clean??
