@Noor B. Do you have any indication why the owner is selling the property? Might give you additional insight into the property knowing why they are looking to unload, if they give you an honest reason.

@Roy N. He is completely on point with his remarks. I would also be expecting a ton of lead paint and asbestos in the property which can significantly increase renovation costs due to proper abatement procedures needing to be followed.

thank you everyone. @Jim Lally have you attended any of the CTREIA meetings? I looked into them, but felt they were more about collecting fees than really discussing REI. Just my opinion based on what I read.

I'm interested in rehabbing/re-sell and buy/hold just depends on how the numbers fall.

After being an avid listener to the BP podcasts, I decided to create a profile to see where it can take me. I am currently a full time fraud investigator in a retail setting. I became interested in real estate after being exposed to it while completing my MBA. During this time I read Rich Dad Poor Dad and it changed my outlook on money. From there every book I have read has been about real estate investing, business, or biographies on successful people.

In my drive to learn more I obtained a real estate license in the state of Connecticut. I have done a couple transactions for family members and friends, but being an agent for the average home buyer is not favorite thing to do. I prefer to work with investor that view real estate as an investment and can see past the wall color, flooring, or repairs. I like analyzing the numbers to find a deal. I really enjoy excel.

My goal on BP is to network and find like-minded individuals. If you are local and want to chat hit me up.
