I'm short on cash but have good credit and income. I am considering getting a personal loan to help fund my first deal. Has anyone had any experience with using a personal loan to fund their first real estate property (rental or flip)? What are the pros and cons? What things should I consider?

Hi Bart,
I own my personal residents here in Dallas and wasn't planning on moving and living in the property. But I do know the house hacking strategy can be a good way to start investing.

Thanks everyone for the welcome!
Nathan you asked a good question. I think what has given me courage to invest in real estate is that I am more afraid of not being financially free than I am of investing. I think the ladder is less scary. Also the more I learn the more confidence I gain.

Hi Bigger Pockets community my name is Dorian Wood and I am new to the bigger pockets community. My wife and I are passionate about getting started in real estate and first learned about bigger pockets from listening to the podcasts. We live in Dallas, TX and are looking to invest here locally. We currently are educating ourselves on real investing strategies, optimizing our finances and building up our network.
Real Estate Goals: We want to purchase a one to four unit property here in Dallas, TX within the next 4 months using the BRRRR strategy.
