Post: Basic property management question

Would I need a minimum amount of properties before a management company will work with me? For example, I'm on the east coast and I see a deal on the west coast. If I buy the one property, could I plan on having a management company look after it or would I need maybe 10 properties or something in that same area before they will even deal with me?

Sorry for the newbie question... With property management companies, would I need a minimum amount of properties in my portfolio to have a property manager cover my units? Example being, I live in DC, and I see a good deal on the west coast. Could I plan on buying that one property and have a property manager look after it or would I probably need 10 or so properties in the area before the manager will deal with me?

Rob,

Yeah I'm definitely not going to discount any book and the information it has because of the price. I'm excited that I've found this book and other for so cheap! Bought 13 books for $15 between and other consignment shop and goodwill!

Came across the book titled "209 Fast Spare-Time Ways to Build Zero Cash into 7 Figures A Year in Real Estate" by Tyler G. Hicks in a consignment shop. I just cracked it open and I'm curious to see if anyone else has read this book before, and if you have, let me know what you liked or didn't like. Thanks!

Hello BP agents! I have been weighing the pros and cons of getting my license to get immersed in the RE market and convert that knowledge to investing for myself. I am now again strongly considering it since I am going to be moving from VA to Miami in March and I feel this would be an opportunity to commit to something different. I have been trying to learn about real estate on my free time right now but I just feel like that is not enough. What are your thoughts on getting a RE license in order to learn about investing? Also, what are the first few months like in terms of income? Should I expect to not get paid at all until I actually start selling property? Thanks everyone!

Hello everyone! My wife an I will be moving to Miami early next year and we have a trip planned for next week (Monday, 8/22-Wednesday 8/24) to look at apartments to rent. We have a bunch of saved properties on Zillow, etc.

Hello everyone!  My wife an I will be moving to Miami early next year and we have a trip planned for next week (Monday, 8/22-Wednesday 8/24) to look at apartments to rent.  We have a bunch of saved properties on Zillow, etc. and I wanted to see if there's a Miami realtor on BP that could help us streamline the process in seeing multiple properties on Miami Beach.  Please send me a message if you would be able to help us with these tours.

Thanks,

Erik

Post: Analyze 3 properties/day

Hey everyone! I was listening to the webinar the other day and I remember Brandon making the case to analyze 3 properties per day on the calculators to get started and to get comfortable with the process. I also heard the same advice in Robert Kiyosaki's book Second Chance that I am listening to on audiobook right now. With those two sources, I figure I can give it a shot. Has anyone else gone through this kind of strategy either with BP or elsewhere to start committing to the idea of REI? What has your experience been like? Do you have any tips with the BP calculators?

Hey everyone,

My wife and I are thinking about moving to Miami in the next few months. Ideally, we would like to get a duplex to house hack, or at least get a condo that would make sense to turn into a rental once we move. I heard there are very few buildings on Miami Beach that allow owners to rent out their units. Is that true? Are there any Miami area realtors that also invest to help us find a place? If anyone can give some input, I would appreciate it. My head is spinning with options and I need some ground truth!

Thanks!

Erik
