CIREIA meets first Thursday of every month at Broadmoor Country Club. They have several sub groups that meet during the month.

INREIA meets second Tuesday of every month at the same location. A few of us go to the bar inside the club for a drink or dinner after the meeting.  If you introduce yourself to me I can introduce you to someone who has same interest as you.

Why do you say this market as opposed to all others?  Are you talking about land contracts or do you have a particular bank in mind?

Ohio is a hybrid state so I think you mean Tax deed sale vs. tax lien sale. If you want the interest or penalty then you buy the lien. If you want the property you buy the deed.

I agree you should walk away unless seller gets the title quieted. Sounds like he bought the property from someone who got it at tax sale.

This property can be renovated or there is potential to demo and sell the lot once things start accelerating in the area. Property was aquired at a tax sale via quit claim deed."  I guess I was supposed to read between the lines, but I'm new at this. I probably didn't ask the right questions, either.

if I understand your question, paying back taxes doesn’t give you additional interest in the  property. You only paid his taxes for him.

@Brian Horwitz  which county?  I have a different strategy in each that I invest in. Marion County is way more different than the others.

@Matthew Davis  you don’t t have time to read books. The sales have started!  Read about the rules on the county web site. Get the list and start your research.

I would b concerned that the seller didn’t tell you that. But I have a title company that will insure at closing after their attorney looks a the noticing and then Says he can do quiet title. Do t know if they’re in SC or not. Name is Best Title.

But hold on, we have a resident SC tax lien expert here and he’ll probably chime in. @John  Garwood.

@Gail Greenberg  going to his website, I couldn’t figure out what it would do for you so I wouldn’t buy it. There are people on BP that do PA tax deed sales. Info is free on county websites (although I think Philadelphia city might sell their own). I’m sure that there are REIAs around where you could get information. Too many great free resources to buy this. Besides, what you’re already using for your note business is probably better
