@Thad Miller , 3 times a week? That's a lot. Too bad they didn't warn us.

I think it depends on the topic. I'm a beginner too. I skipped the last meeting because it was on land trusts, and that seems more applicable to out of state investing. The May meeting is about estate planning. Not sure I'll go to that either. The June meeting is "Cashflow Portfolio Accelerating - Reach Your Passive Income Goal Faster." That sounds like a good one for beginners, and one I am interested in going to.

Wow, celebrity meetup! Unfortunately I already have plans for that evening. If I can think of a way to make it to the meetup, even for just a little while, I will do so.

I've been to a couple of meetings of the Silicon Valley Real Estate Investing Group in Mountain View:
There doesn't seem to be much networking that goes on there. It seems to be mainly focused on out of state investing. The guy that leads it does not invest in California. He runs a company that helps people get started in out of state investing, but when he has been the speaker I didn't think he was pushing his services too hard.
It's close to me and it's free, and I feel like I've learned something each time I've gone.

I have a deadline at work this week, so I'm not sure if I can make it to this, but I will try my best.

I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to talk to more of you guys at the meetup. I spent most my time there downloading Minh's apartments knowledge into my brain. I'm hoping I can talk to more of you at future meetups.
