I recently saw listing where the property value went down almost 50%.  At first the property value was rising till at some point it dropped suddenly.  When I done some searching on the city, I found that it had a high crime rate and was even in the headlines for a rape case!  That coincided with the sudden drop in value.

I would buy an expensive bicycle, one of those fancy carbon frame ones.  The rest of the money would be added to what we have already and given to our two sons..... the oldest to buy a house in CA and the youngest as a wedding present to either invest in his own ventures or go towards paying the mortgage on his house.

Thank you very much.  That is helpful.  We intend to buy it for our son, who is presently paying $2,000 rent for a one room studio apartment in Mountain View.  We figure, that the money he would save from having a mobile home could later go towards buying a condo or apartment.  After that we would take over and rent it out or sell it.

Hi,

My husband and I are considering buying a mobile home in California, with the intent of renting it out.  What we'd like to know, is if there  are any homes that are sold with the land.  Also what are the regulations regarding mobile home owners renting out their homes... if they own both the house and the land?

My dad recently passed away, leaving us his house in MI.  He had stated in his will that the house be sold and the money be split among children and grandchildren.  My husband had already thought of maybe keeping it and renting it out. But we opted for selling it.  If it was a smaller house, or in an area where it would be easy to find tenants, it would have been different.

We are now in the process of cleaning it up in preparation of inspection.  I don't know how long it will take to sell it, hoping at least by the end of this year.

I'm into leisurely cycling. I have a full suspension mountain bike, because I live in Greece. The terrain is mostly hills, and gravel roads.

I assume that when a description says "investment opportunity", that it can be rented out. I have already found some that we like.  Some don't say anything.  Seriously thinking of sending my son to look into some condo's.

Thanks,

Mostly we're looking into investing in rental property there.... with the possibility of moving there when we retire.
