@Theresa Harris so the thing is that we originally had planned for hexagon tile which we knew would he more expensive including the labor costs. But then he couldn’t get that tile for some reason so then he suggested we get just grey rectangular tile. Which he told us would be cheaper than the hexagon. He also didn’t finish in the time frame he said he would and then charged us a $150 convenience fee for having to work on Labor Day. Which if he would of finished in his original time frame that wouldn’t of happened. And no mention of the fee until after the fact. As well as he couldn’t move the light because he didn’t know how to do electrical so the vanity and the mirror are all one side and the light is on the other. My thing is I’d be much more inclined to pay the full price if he did what we originally wanted but he didn’t finish in time, didn’t get the flooring we wanted and couldn’t move the light. Im probably a just venting at this point but I hope I’m not being dramatic.

@Matthew Irish-Jones it was 1400 over on a 5800 budget. He’s blaming it mostly on the flooring which we did go a little more expensive because that was our only option but it’s not a big bathroom. We’ve had conversation about it and he’s sent me a detailed list of all the costs compared to the original one and to me the labor is really where he went over.

We got a quote to renovate a bathroom in one of our units. When he finished the project the total price came in way over. There was no mention of it being over by that much. What are my options? Do I pay the bill? Or fight it? Or pay the original quote? Or am I being dramatic?

Looking at a potential duplex, sellers are willing to do owner financing. What does refinancing them out of it after one year look like? Any experiences or thoughts?

@Alyssa Weber when you use rentometer.com how accurate is that? I only ask because right now my duplex is renting out for more than what rentometer is stating. obviously they're taking an average but is that where you would consult your agent?
