Your contract documents should specify the insurance coverage that the buyer should carry and require that you be named as an additional insured. If that is not the case, you may need to buy coverage for your exposure. Good luck.

The situations in which we see the most assignments are M&A transactions, particularly asset deals. The seller's contracts with third parties (vendors, customers, etc.) have to be assigned to the buyer in order for the buyer to obtain the benefit of those agreements.
