In most jurisdictions, it is dissolved forever and you would have to start all over again if you want the protection of an LLC later on. Another reason to keep the one you have already formed. Good luck.

You probably should have asked these questions before you shut down your company. I am not a CPA, but I have found that conversions and transfers of the type you posit almost always fail the "too good to be true test." Keep working the phones to find a CPA who can squeeze you in. Good luck.
