Ha, I actually just posted about Nouveau Riche in another topic where someone was asking about real estate schools.

From what I have heard, you will want to stay away from them. Supposedly, they pretty much use their students as a marketing channel to help promote their educational products to other people who are interested in real estate.

At the end of the program, you supposedly get a 'degree', but from everything I have heard about them, the so-called degree doesn't really seem like it would be worth much due to the accreditation (or lack there of) with Nouveau Riche.

My recommendation would be to stay away from it.

I will be thoroughly interested in seeing the progress of this development. It seems like Microsoft and Google are at it again, only this is the battle of the social networks. With Microsoft and Facebook currently working together, it will be interesting to see how this MySpace-Google collaboration of OpenSocial will impact social networks as we currently see them.

I've heard some pretty good things about this book. I'll have to check it out one of these days. Honestly though, I completely forgot about the book until I stumbled across this post. That probably isn't a good thing....

I don't know... to me it just looks off-balanced. I would probably try and take all your contact information and do two things with it: (1) make it a little smaller so that you can then (2) align it with your Real Estate Investment Team logo. Aside from that, I think it looks great.

I would use the back of your business card as a marketing mechanism. Talk about all the ways that you differentiate yourself from the competition: timing, guarantees, etc. At least, that is what I do and it seems to be working fine.

I've used Google with some pretty good success. If you are willing to learn the in's and out's of it, you can get extremely targeted traffic for very little money. You can even target all your ads down to the zip code.

It may take some time to get accustomed to though. I would definitely not recommend just giving it a shot without doing any research or else you could end up losing a lot of money very quickly.

It's amazing to see that Refer a Friend scripts still work like a charm. Nice study and thanks for sharing your results.

Post: Ad Copy

Personally, I think it needs a little more detail. To me, it just sounds like an ad that everyone and their brother uses. Is there any way you could use specific numbers in your ad? For example using things like:

- experience: Saving People's Credit for Over 22 Years
- guarantee: 100% Guaranteed (you probably shouldn't advertise anything less :D
- Process: Avoid Foreclosure in 10 Steps

etc. etc.

My advertising has proven to yield better results when I use specifics and numbers. Then again, this will probably not be the same in every market; but that's my two cents...

I would have to agree with a lot of the things that have already been stated here. If you are not an authority, then playing the 'fake it till you make it' game will probably get you in trouble. Before you know it, people will start coming to you asking for advice to the point where you might not know what the heck they are talking about. That will give off a bad impression to everyone and as you probably know, word about something negative always spreads faster than something positive.
