Patrick,

I would recommend calling the county tax office.  They can usually look up addresses for each tax parcel.

Hope this helps.

Greg

I would also put an right to extend clause.  Whether it is fee or some monetary fee per day, per week, or per month. Some people see it as a penalty but I see it as a way to buy extra days to close if needed.

@Account Closed

 In Ohio, it is my understanding that the current law does not allow for the assignment of real estate contracts or using your buyers funds to fund to the closing of the original A-B contract.  In my experience, you are able to use transactional funding to fund the original A-B contract and then the same day or the next day, you may close on the B-C contract.  At closing, your transactional funder will wired the amount loaned + their fee and you will be cut a check for the balance, thus complete your wholesale deal.

The transactional funder fee is anywhere between 2 - 3%.  Not as painful as hardmoney.

I hope this information helps.

@Andrew V. Congratulations on your wholesaling success. I am also getting ready to jump into the wholesaling pool here in Austin.

Thanks Everyone for the warm welcome.

Looking forward to my real estate investing future.

@Bryan Hancock I am currently working with Consolidated Telecommunication Services. Analyzing and designing cellular towers for the large carriers, local, county, state and federal agencies. Quite a bit of work with "first responder" communication systems. I was also with Haynes Whaley Associates for about 5 years here in Austin.

I am new to Bigger Pockets. My Name is Greg Casey. Have been reading as much as I can on the forums and listening to the Bigger Pockets Podcast. Great Job, Josh and Brandon!! Always very informative and entertaining. I am also in the process of reading J Scott's books. Lots of valuable information.

I am currently working a more than full time job as a structural engineer in Austin. The Austin real estate market currently appears to be fairly tough because of the very competitive market.

I have owned 4 primary residences in the past. This will be my second venture into real estate investing. My first was a poorly timed fix and flip house in 2008. Ouch! Could have been worse though.

My long term goal is to generate a passive income through "buy and hold" investing which will enable me to invest on a full time basis.

I look forward to belonging to and learning from the Bigger Pockets Community.
