@Bjorn Ahlblad nice! I’m hoping to do the same. Just starting to look into my second property. How long did it take you?

@Mike D'Arrigo and @Alora Glaze what areas of Indiana would you suggest looking into for multi-family for an OOS investor?

So you spent $58K on renovations?

@David Kelly thank you for those list of questions. Those are some things I will be looking into ASAP.

@Account Closed thanks for the response. I'm working with a lender, but clearly he's inexperienced. Didn't realize that working with those big banks was not ideal, will keep in mind as that was my plan for my next rental property.

@Sean Honeycutt Will definitely try to fight over student loans and banks. Definitely will not be giving up on this one or any other in the future. Thanks!

I recently did the application for the refinance with a company, they did the appraisal, only for them to come back and say my debt-to-income ratio is too high because he forgot to ask about my monthly rent.

Does anyone know what I can do?

Wow thank you Stephen. I think I'm starting to learn that this is why people give up so quickly: They are given bad advice by people who discourage them. But I'm going to keep going. Thank you for this answer!

Maybe one day soon I'll reach out to you to learn about the Houston market.

That banker was an idiot. Sorry that happened to you. Yes, you can do a cash out refinance on a non-owner occupied house.
