Hello to all,

I am an investor who is currently taking the test to become an agent. My wife and I are investors/homeowners for 5  years but Had a hard time finding great team members who didn't mind working with someone like me with little money. So I chose to become an agent to build capital and invest more into our portfolio.

As I'm taking the test, I wanted to know any advice from you all about building a great team for my future clients as in agent and for my own business as well.  I work full time so I will start as a part time agent.  I am aware of the systems that need to be in place to take advantage of the little time I do have dealing with work, family, etc.  I want to get a great head start working ON my business instead of losing opportunities working IN my business.

I am located in Northern Virginia who is always looking to partner with great like minded individuals.

Peace to all,

I was reading many of the forums and saw others speaking about choosing the right brokerage in regards to the "Commission Splits vs. Fee Based". I am in need of advice for choosing the best option out here in Northern Va.

I believe that the bigger the company the bigger the split will be right?

@Kyle Mccaw Thanks for the tip!  I will surely begin studying the different mailing companies that best fit for me. Any tips for how to choose the best location?

@Brandon L. Loudon and Fairfax county are obviously where the big players are. Any tips from a experienced agent like yourself?

@Julie N. you literally made my day lol

Hey,

As a homeowner/investor, I want to scale my business in the competitive market here in Northern Virginia. I am working full time but will be taking my test to become an agent starting part time. I want to surely take advantage of my time as I balance work and family, so I am studying how to systematize (podio is great) my business to really scale up!

Anyone have any advice as I study to take the test, how to systematize my business, etc. ??
