@Jace McLaws I agree. The tech industry had shown that it is pandemic proof. Or more over, it excels more during a pandemic. And western WA is tons and tons of tech companies.

But the question is when will STRs do well again? I’m thinking end of this year. Or beginning of next year. But buying now and getting ready for it now is good timing.

@John Underwood nice! Are things back in full swing like pre-covid days?

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for mobile home park repair companies or handymen in the southern Indiana or Louisville KY areas? I’d really appreciate it! I have a handy man but I think I may need a team.

Thank you,

Gullliver

@Phil Greely

That’s good to hear. Do you think that since we are at the tail end of the pandemic (I hope) that the jobs being lost due to the Corona virus was a thing of the past (early and mid pandemic) are behind us? If investors offer homes for rent in the markets with high demand and low (ish) supply then the qualified tenants with good stable jobs have weathered the storm right? What do you think?

@Michael Baum it would be for investment. And I hear some investors say Western WA is good and some say it bad. The reason why I pick WA is because I have boots on the ground there.

@Sherief Elbassuoni right now STRs are being heavily effected by the pandemic. But like you said this is not going to be forever. Hence my message I started here.

hey @Aaron Flake  @Bjorn Ahlblad @Sherief Elbassuoni

thanks for the input. Yah I hear ya! I’m all about screening and focusing on getting the best tenants you can. I guess by this time since we’re in the late pandemic stages the bulk of the people who are losing their jobs due to the Corona virus was more in the early stages of the pandemic. So I’m thinking offering vacant housing for good qualified (and currently working) tenants should be fairly a safe bet (I’m thinking). Do you guys agree?

Also, what rental assistance resources are out there in WA ?

Hi All!

Hope everyone is staying safe out there! I wanted to reach out to you investors in the area because I'm planning on investing in Seattle and surrounding areas (i.e. Shoreline, Everett, Bothell, Kirkland, Bellevue, Redmond, Renton, Kent, Tukwila, etc.). I'm back and forth from SoCal to Seattle every month. But I wanted to check the pulse on the market. I wanted to know if there are a lot tenants out there taking advantage (maybe abusing the ability to not pay rent right now during this pandemic). Are tenants paying their rent in Seattle and surrounding areas in 2021? I appreciate the input!

Best,

Gulliver
