Hey Mike, I have not done this personally myself but I have been thinking about doing this and know a friend who does this with all of his short term rentals. In short the concept would be to just turn you place into an airbnb then on the days you need to stay there book it to yourself or make it unavailable for rent. I hope this helped a little bit !

 Hey Josh I'm in south florida looking to do short term rentals in the near future. I know laws can be restrictive down here but, I don't even know where to start when it comes to finding out whether my city lets me do it or not. To add details I would love to start doing short terms any where 20 minutes or less from the beach from Palm beach county to Miami Dade County.

@Kez Strong Hey brother I currently live in Sunrise, originally from Doral. I am active duty military and house hacked a condo at my last duty station utilizing my VA loan. I am currently working on moving into my second house hack early this fall. @Doug Spence yeah i have a roommate for the other bedroom. When I PCS (change duty stations) I will rent the other bed room. Its a condo but has two floors so its an ideal roommate situation. I am located near 3 major military installations (within 30 minutes) as well as less than 10 minutes away from two of the largest universities in Colorado, Airforce Academy and University Colorado @ Colorado Springs. So the roommate now I am charging $800. In the future especially once I move out I want to rent both rooms for $900 or more. So, with my $1200 mortgage and $150 estimated utilities I am looking at cash flowing about $450-$550.

Cash invested: $9,000

Two bed Two Bath Condo 15 minutes from Downtown and within 30 minutes of 3 major military installations.

What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?
