@Alain

Thanks for the information.

We have met.  He has shown me several properties.  He suggested a lender who I met with and submitted all of my paperwork for a loan - we are awaiting underwriting.  He hadn't returned my calls to look at one of the houses for a second time, and I messaged him that I would probably be making an offer.  I haven't been able to get any word from in in almost 3 days, until yesterday afternoon.  I told him I would like to make an offer, he said he wanted to speak with the lender to find out about funding, and I mentioned that I thought it was customary to put in an offer contingent upon financing, but he wants to speak with the lender.

In the meantime I looked at a 'FSBO' home last night, and I think we will make an offer on that one and bypass the broker all together.

Hi Mario.

I'm a newbie too.  Here in Seymour.  Welcome . .  I haven't been on this site for too long, but it seems that you will get plenty of experience from the people here.  Everyone is real anxious to help.  Gives me a good feeling since I am trying to get started in real estate.

Maybe you can help with a question - I have been speaking with a realtor looking at several properties.  My wife and I decided to make an offer on one ( I went through the approval process and info has been sent to Underwriter) and now I cannot get him to return texts or calls. Is this normal?  I haven't dealt with too many realtors, so I'm not sure if I should just go to someone else or not.

I'm not sure if they are available in Valpo.

Hi Michael.

I am in Seymour, Indiana.  I am speaking with a lender here in Seymour and there are 0% down USDA loans available that I didn't know about (it has been a while since I got a home loan).  Not sure about multi-family though.

I'm trying to be more active and also get a rental here.

Nice to hear of your goal...  You may be able to teach me about benefits of multi-family.

@Ross Denman  I am in Seymour Indiana and I would also like to see that information.

I am getting started and I have been learning all I can.  I am in the process of purchasing a second home, and I don't really understand how to obtain multiple loans for property.
