Welcome Andrew Parr ! There is a ton of information here on BP and from local meet ups so I’m glad you didn’t fall for the 50 thousand dollar spiel. Good luck to you and your real estate endeavors!

I would definitely be up for attending that.

I am a police officer and in my opinion, most of the time, officers will most likely not tell anyone that is living there they are a cop. I have lived in apartments in the past and no one knew what I did nor would I try to make it known. I have also never heard of any arrangements such as that at least in my area but I would also not expect it.

I just completed my courses about a month ago through Real Estate Express. I didn’t have a bad experience like any of the reviews said. I don’t know if it varies state to state. I cruised through it with no issues. My only thing with it is that it was hard for me to stay focused because it’s just reading slides for 90 hours whereas some of the other schools have videos and what not. That’s just a personal thing though. Overall I would recommend it for a viable online option.

@Alex Rojesky

I just finished up with my license recently in Minnesota and did it online due to my life circumstances. Online was nice but if you have the time and are able to do it in person, I would say you can't go wrong with doing that. But as Ty said, it's all personal preference and what works best for you!

The best way is to search "real estate" on Meetup.com or through the Meetup app. There are quite a few events around the Twin Cities! Good luck with your investing!

@William Clark it is called "Flipping Junkie" and I second what Joe said. It is a great podcast.
