That's bad and all I can do is pray for him and his situation. I, also, agree with Mary B. If that's your friend, make sure you help him all you can, unless he doesn't want the help. Sometimes, people in this situation could be embarrassed, and not want help from friends and family. It's crazy, but it happens. It's a pride thing.
Congratulations to you and your business partner, but more importantly, congratulations on the new addition to your family!
Much success to you!

I don't know if it's another Logan's in Greensboro or not, but if it is, the meetings are at the one on the corner of Wendover and Bridford Parkway. There is, also, a very good closing attorney there who is a board member of that REIA. There are, also, members of the North Carolina Investors Coalition there, i think that's the name. They are a lobby group for NC investors, and they work from Raleigh to Washington. It's a good place to come!

I am a 20 year old college student from Greensboro, NC looking to get involved in real estate investing. I really hope to get into landlording as my niche but I know that wholesaling could be a great way to jumpstart into investing without using a lot of money out of pocket. Any suggestions on good ways for me to start investing, networking with other investors, mentors, etc?
Thanks BP!
Welcome!
You're on the best site for learning from a lot of smart people in many different niches of real estate! Stay networking! A local REIA in our area is the TriadREIA. They meet in Greensboro on Tuesdays at Logan's Roadhouse from 11:45 to 1:30. They, also, meet on Thursdays in Winston, it's the same topic as would have been discussed on Tuesdays of that week. They don't meet on the third week of each month for the lunch meetings, instead they meet at the Marriott at the Piedmont Airport for the big monthly meeting. There are some other meetups and groups you can find on other rei sites. Hope this helps.
Much success to you!

Congratulations on your success on the deal, and you got one on the next street over, too! You're sowing up the area!
I need to do better at the REIA lunch meetings I go to. I have two buyers on my list from there, so, there's a lot of room to do better.
