I wanted to throw an intro out there- I actually became a member of BP about 3 years ago... but it wasn't until this week that I decided to see what value I could bring to the community by becoming more active on the site.

My company takes a unique approach to real estate crowdfunding. After selling hundreds of investment properties to investors all over the world, we decided to adopt a new approach, wherein we simply sell ownership in properties we own- instead of selling the properties outright. This allows investors to become our partner, and it also eliminates the middleman- giving MORE people access to real estate investments as we reduce barriers to entry. Invest in a portfolio of rental properties with as little as $5,000.

Hi Benjamin, thank your for jumping in! 

You're right, it won't get you much of a position. However, you'll earn the same return as someone who invests $300k... say the total investment opportunity is $400,000. A person with a $5,000 investment (investor A) would therefore own 1.25%. A person with a $300,000 investment (investor B) would own 75%. If the 10 properties earn $44,000 during the year, then investor A would receive $550, an 11% return. Investor be would receive $33,000, an 11% return... 

Works much like a mutual fund- only without the roller-coaster ups & downs.

Real estate crowdfunding, anyone? I'm sure we've all seen our fair share of headlines... real estate crowdfunding is disrupting the real estate market. Putting some of the complexities aside, it allows us to do amazing things- like allow anyone to buy ownership in 10 rental properties with an investment of only $5,000...
