Hi fellow BP'ers! I'm looking to get a meetup put together for local investors here in the Vancouver, WA area! I have a local spot here in Battle Ground I'm able to host the event! I would like to see if there is anybody interested in this before I officially plan an event in the meetup section! Let me know if you are interested in attending! If I get some interest, the meetup would be held on a Satuday, at least 3 weeks out from now!

Hi @Brandon Courtney I see you are wanting to keep whatever property you buy as a rental! You might seriously look into the Boise market. I would personally be a little hesistant about investing in a rental property in Oregon, just because it's not very landlord friendly at all. Before you make the plunge buying in Oregon, I'd take a look at their landlord laws to make sure it's something you'd be comfortable with! I'm sure Idaho is much more landlord friendly! I lived in the Boise area for a few months about a decade ago, and when I was there it was a great town! The weather was fairly mild and they seemed to have a lot more sunny days and not so much rain! Welcome to the site!

@Brian Montiel sounds like you are on the right track! My husband and I have been Listening to podcasts and audio books to learn as much as we can before our first deal! We are really close to trying to find a deal though! What are your long term goals?

@Brad Hammond That might be cool! I've never used zoom before, but I'm sure it can't be that hard to figure out!

@Brian Montiel Hey! My husband and I are hoping to do our first deal here in the next 6 months! We're also in the Portland area, just on the other side of the river in Battle Ground, WA! Would love to connect with other fellow investors as well! Maybe we should try and get a local meetup in the works! :)
Have you been able to find any decent deals with the multi-families? From what I've heard Portland isn't the best market for cashflow.
