@Account Closed Your sisters story sounds very similar to the story of Rich Dad Poor Dad. If you haven't read the book yet I highly encourage you to do so. Changed my perspective on a lot of things.

@William C. I was speaking with a few family members about investing in real estate. Telling them that my girlfriend and I planned to start purchasing houses and putting tenants in them to create cash flow. I believe a lot of the negativity came from their thought process that I would be investing in our small home town of 3k people. When in actuality we plan to invest about an hour away from the home town.
