@Omar C. - The average price for a tiny home is about $75k here. Which is about double in comparison to a mobile home. The fact of the matter is... not many jurisdictions are willing to approved mobile home parks these days. So... enter in tiny homes! The next evolution of attainable housing!

@Omar C. - Of course the cost per unit is more, tiny homes have a higher quality of construction traditional mobile homes. Not to mention the better architecture.

Zoning challenges are a thing, which is the primary reason I've formed the team I have. We take a very government forward approach towards addressing that. In fact, we already have several jurisdictions ready to work with us because they realize the housing industry needs to have more options.

We're working on it! I've been involved in the tiny home industry for 3 years now, trying to establish our first community. We believe that 2021 will be the year we can break ground.

Good morning BiggerPockets!

I'd love to rekindle some conversation on tiny home community development.

The industry is expected to have some major growth over the next few years. I'm curious to know if many of you are looking into the tiny home industry as an addition to what you currently have going on?

@Marlay Smith - Tiny homes have been growing a lot over the last handful of years. Myself, being in the industry for the last 3, I can say that covid has certainly drove the masses to start looking at them, for many reasons.
We have a very successful tiny home hotel here in Colorado. My team and I are working to establish a community more geared toward full-time permanent living but tiny home can certainly offer a broad spectrum of solutions for many.

Good day all! I've been busy busy with tiny home stuff here in Colorado. Decided that I needed to jump back in here, as my team and I are under contract with a property and currently performing due diligence. We've officially launched our Crowdfunding campaign! If any of you are interested in investing in tiny homes, without having to do the heavy lifting, we got the opportunity for you! PM me if you'd like to chat about it.

Tiny homes have REALLY become a thing since this topic was started 9 years ago! I'd almost dare say that we've become an industry. There's push for standards to be created, definitions and certainly communities built entire for the the generation of attainable housing. Tiny homes are better than mobile homes, as they're built more like stick built. They are better than RVs, as they are more durable. They can travel fairly well as needed, but most tiny home owners (like myself) just want to set it and forget it BUT know that I can move it if the need arises.

I launched my company back in 2018 as a means to combat the zoning/planning hurdle for tiny homes. We have several of our local jurisdictions willing and ready to work with us, as well as other cities across the nation reaching out for help.

We're looking to establish our FLAGSHIP community here on Colorado's Front Range and are looking to get our crowdfunding campaign rolling! If any of you are interested in dipping your toes in tiny homes, let's chat!

Hello BiggerPockets!

Since Covid, there's been a HUGE push for tiny homes with different reasons people are looking toward these smaller structures. As an industry, we STILL combat regulatory and zoning problems. I've set out, launched a company and built a team best suited to address these issues. We are working with several jurisdictions and have found a property that is a likely candidate for our flagship community. We believe tiny homes are a viable solution to the "missing middle" in the housing market and we aim to prove it!

We're looking for people who are interested in investing in the tiny home space, without having to do a lot of the leg work because we've already done it! We have a Crowdfunding Campaign set up and would love to chat with you about it!

If you've been curious, let's talk tiny homes!

@Michael Orlando - I'm from the Buckeye State! There are a couple of successful Tiny Home "hotels" out there. The one that I know of is in here in Lyons, Colorado. We won't be building the tiny homes for our communities. People, like myself, either already have their tiny or will purchase a tiny from a builder of their choice. If you're just looking for short-term, you'll have to provide the homes, of course.

Modern Tiny Living is based in Columbus and they have a small community set up in New Paris, OH. You could look them up.

Hope this helps!
