First of all, if this is in the wrong forum, please forgive me, I tried putting it on the marketplace but this is neither a job or selling anything. I just wanted to post this as part of my company goals for everyone to see. 

My name is Johnathan Boyle and I am a local real estate agent and investor. This year, thanks for BP and listening to other podcasts such as Gary Vaynerchuk, I plan to expand business by documenting as much of what I do as possible. I have started placing videos on my youtube channel, facebook, IG, etc. and I would love if the BP community could chime in a bit with comments, critiques, and questions so I can keep it interesting and make my posts/videos even better. 

Next, as far as business is concerned, I feel last year was a lackluster year. This upcoming year, I am buying my own personal residence, buying 1 other buy and hold property and flipping 4 properties. Currently, I have 2 properties UC and waiting for the short sale approval from the banks. If you have any other deals going on, please reach out. I am actively looking in Essex county. I can message you my criteria. 

Also, I plan to open up a real estate agency as the broker of record. I know I have only been in business for a year and some change, but due to my disabled veteran status, I am allowed by the state of NJ to do so. If there are any recommendations in the best ways to do this, feel free to add to the conversation.

@Jonathan S., My first suggestion would be to narrow your search. As a realtor myself, that is an extremely broad search. Second, you should realize whether you want significant cash flow or are you betting more on appreciation? Third, I would want to know what tolerance level I am willing to commit to. For example, for myself, as a former Marine, I am extremely comfortable in Newark and other usually negative connotation towns. Fourth, I would check what I qualify for with a mortgage company as that will most likely dictate a majority of where you are searching. Anyways, I hope those tips help!
