Quote from @Colleen F.:

@George Jetson  You need to file for eviction and notice to terminate the lease if your mom hasn't done anything.  I would get a lawyer and do both immediately.  Yes you are probably going to have trouble, are these long term tenants for your mom? If so she might not have been up to the task of terminating them but you need to be and it may take time.  Regardless of how good a tenant was once they stop paying they can and will bleed you dry.

you need to do exactly this!

welcome ryan! I would suggest starting to learn the basics, so you can get into the mindset, like "Rich Dad Poor Dad" and then get deeper into it

It doesn't sound crazy, numbers look good, if you know you can make it work, why not?

You absolutely can, but keep in mind HOA can be tough to deal with sometimes

Nice to meet you guys, TX is a solid market to work at, I wish you all the best!

Hey Saad, I am new here but I own 1 investment property, what I would suggest for a start is to get a few real estate books, get on that mindset, learn the basics, understand how it works and later on get someone more experienced to guide you in your first deal
