Very good point, Tim. I guess what I am looking for is someone I can achieve both of these objectives with as a broker I can hang my license under and someone I can pursue wholesaling deals with simultaneously. I am hoping to meet such a person via this website. Thank you for the tips @tim

@Tim Gordon I’m just risk adverse and haven’t done any of my own personal deals yet. So I’m being cautious as I venture out on my own here. Doing it for work is entirely different than doing it for myself. That said, your point is definitely noted about dealing in listings first. I just need to find someone willing to take on a strictly part time realtor

@Tim Gordon I have a full time job tat I’m not looking to quit at the moment. So I’m looking for ways to do deals on the side. I’m newly licensed so I’m looking for a broker that I can arrange a mutually beneficial arrangement with for me to do deals under.

Is it worth it to attempt my first wholesaling deal in the Southern California market or should I really be looking out of state? Currently I’m starting my search in Louisiana and Texas because I’m worried the numbers won’t pencil in this area, but I’m interested to hear if others have had favorable experiences while saling and flipping out here?

@Sharon Tseung I am in he exact same position. Currently I am in the Southern California, Los Angeles area which is also very expensive. With a friend of mine, I have been looking into buying in the southeast area. Specifically Louisiana or Texas. I am looking to build my team and solid banker is what I’m missing so far. Your interest in the Midwest is entrusting tho. My fiancé is from California and is therefore risk adverse when it comes to buying out that way. She’s a lot more interested in buying as close by as possible. I’d be interested to compare numbers in terms of what you’re seeing in the Midwest vs what I am seeing in the south.
