@Wade Light thanks so much for posting about a Connecticut meet-up. I would be very interested in a CT meet-up, but unfortunately it will be tough for me to make it to Foxwoods. Would you be open to meeting closer to New Haven County? I would be happy to coordinate a regular place/time together with you, and arranging for more BP members to join.

Thought this might be helpful to share:

A new feature rolled out on Google Maps that allows you to see street views from different time periods. For example you can see the same street view in 2012 and compare it to the older 2007 street view. You can access the new feature in the "new" Google Maps with the clock symbol on the bar in the top left corner.

This could come in handy when evaluating properties and tracking progress or declines in the area.

You might want to try Mickey Lowitt (contact info below). He only does RE transactional law. Also, he is not looking to bill you for every question you ask him.

In fairness I have not used him before, but that is only because I have not closed on any CT properties. I have had many conversations with him and when I do close on a CT property, he is definitely my go to guy. (Also, another BP member that I referred to him was very happy). Just know, there are a lot of people on this site who will know a helluva lot more than I will ever know and chances are that someone will help you out. So if you have some questions that you are comfortable sharing, you will likely get a far more educated and better response than someone like me can probably provide.
