Is @Jeff Rappaport the speaker on the wholesale podcast? I know he has a podcast.

Sorry for the eavesdropping

I live in Fort Washington, MD. I'm actually looking for a mentor myself. I'm interested in learning about seller financing and wholesaling, but I eventually want to own rental properties. Just like Robert Kiyosaki says " If you want to becoming rich in real estate, buy 4 green houses and one red hotel. That's my goal!!! Nice to meet you @Fidencio Velasco.

The area that seems to be the most profitable for me is Baltimore, Maryland. So, for the moment, Ill be looking there.

Hello BP community,

New investor here, I know the bigger pockets community is somewhat against paying for programs like this, but the learning curve with getting into real estate without a mentor is kind of high.

So, aside from finding a mentor (which seems harder than learning real estate itself) what is the community's opinion on Noteschool, Sherman Ragland's 21 day course or Renatus?

Through local meetups I've learned about all 3 of these companies and each one claims to be the best of the best in REI education.

They all ask for a somewhat large monetary investment (Sherman Ragland seems to be the cheapest and maybe the best reviewed thus far).

If I'm going to spend money, I want to spend it on the one that actually intends on helping me.

Anyone's experience with either would be greatly appreciated.

Wholesaling is where I'm starting my journey to real estate investing as well. I don't know much, but I'm happy to connect. Where are you from???

Wow, what a horror story!!! I'm learning how to be a wholesaler and I want to have all those qualities so I can help buyers get good deals and have zero hassle.

@Jessica Miller that is excellent, for someone who says you’ve just started, you’re doing a lot better than me.

I don’t have my first deal under my belt.

I guess that’s because I’m trying to learn without spending the money on a mentor that I would spend investing.

@Stephen Brown that’s a good idea.

I’m sure you’ll have to go through at least 50 people before one says yes, but that’s a good way to find a mentor who actually knows what they’re doing.

@Mark Cruse that’s what I’ve been trying to do. Zoom meetings aren’t the best way to network to me, so I’m patiently waiting for these lockdowns to disappear. Also a very good idea to find a mentor.

I’m taking a Rich Dad Investing course which gives a lot of good info, but there’s nothing like being confused about a problem and having someone next to you with 30 or so years experience that can answer 90% of your questions.

Sorry for eavesdropping, but this topic interests me since I’m looking for a mentor too. You’re inspiring though, Jessica!!!
