Thanks @Blaine Alger

I’m use realtor, I’m not familiar with Zillow.

How do I find the rent that people in a particular neighborhood are paying on Zillow?

I feel like I’m having trouble seeing the rent people are paying in neighborhoods where houses are for sale.

Thanks @Joe Norman, glad to get so many responses.

I’ll definitely check in these areas for cash flowing properties.

I’ve heard Pennsylvania has pretty good cash flow potential. It’s further out for me, but at the very least it’s a back-up area to check.

@Alyson Anderson

Thanks, I’ll check these areas out. I’m also looking to join a local meetup to meet some investor in my area.

@Joaquin Camarasa

Thanks for the meetup idea.

I’m a new investor in the DMV area, I haven’t bought my first property yet, still studying and researching.

I’d like to join a group.

Hi all,

I’m just started learning about investing in real estate and passive income.

I’m in the DMV area and would like to join a group to learn and buy my first property.

If you’re looking to start a group, I’m in!!!

@Ali Boone

Right, I know that the rent is a number I can’t decide just to make a profit.

I just wanted to make sure the rental rates I’m seeing are right.

Based on my analysis of a few properties, none of them cash flow like you said.

Any ideas for areas close to the DMV that do cashflow?

Thanks everyone for your input. I was curious because for some properties that I looked at to get any sort of profit the rent would have to be higher than the estimates I saw on real estate websites.

Are there any other books you would recommend, Brad?
