I was wondering if anyone in Oakland, CA had any experience with doing a cash for keys. It is for a 3 unit building that I own and want to move my family and myself into. I know that I can do an owner move in eviction but thought that this would cause less headache on both ends in regards to me and my tenants, which I believe I have a good relationship with.
Any tips or suggestions would be great! Thanks in Advance!

Hello East Bay Landlords! I was wondering if anyone has any experience with EBRHA (East Bay Rental Housing Authority). I was thinking about joining and wondered if anyone had experience with them. What do they do for or offer landlords?
Thanks,
Jeremy

Hello, newer real estate investor from Oakland, CA. I bought a triplex in Oakland at the end of last year and recently got a letter from the City saying that I had to pay taxes on my Net rental income.
Does anyone who has property in Oakland have any suggestions on how to go about this? Not trying to not pay, but was wondering if there are any ways you can write it off or make the hit hurt less. It kind of caught me off guard.
Thanks,
Jeremy
