Hello all, I have searched around the internet and I can't find info on building an addition onto a BRICK house. I want to know if I am I limited to using existing openings (doors, windows) to connect new spaces, such as a laundry room. Or completely adding a laundry room by creating a new opening. The duplex was built in 1961. Thank you.

Few questions here. I’m ready to pursuit my first deal. I am excited but nervous. I need to find an agent first. I have one individual in mind. She’s a RE in my community but I’m not sure that she has dealt with investors before. Any recommendations on how to go about scheduling an interview with her or any agent? I’m assuming that the traditional home buyer does not interview their agent(s) like investors would. I don’t want to come across standoffish. I am planning to email a few agents. In the email, should I include my business plan (house hacking)? Is it protocol to ask them questions to see if they best fit my plan in the same email? Also what questions do you guys recommend I add in the email? I have a few jotted down already.

Thank you,

Hello,

My goal was to start looking at properties by either May or June. I’m looking into

House hacking my first go around, but with how the economy is shaping out I’m on the fence if I should start looking now since interest rates are decreasing and I’m assuming homes are being reduced as well. I really don’t know what the future holds, what if this virus and shutdown tends to drag on for a few more months.I really don’t know, If I should wait until the market recovers? My real concern is once I start house hacking that I won’t

Be able to find tenants that could afford rent and I’ll be stuck with the mortgage.

I live in the dallas Fort Worth area and I’m not seeing many reduced homes on trulia and Zillow but I’m sure properties there are some cheap properties on the mls. (Duplexes/condos).

Thank you, any advice will be appreciated.

@Allan Smith so that could mean two separate ins policies, two separate property taxes?

Hello,

Can a 2 parcel home count as a multi family under the FHA or HomePossible loan?

The main home is a 3/2 bath 1,456sqft, and the 2 car garage has been converted to a 1bd 1bath. The description says that’s its 2 lots side by side that have been platted together address 3110 and 3108.

I am confused on the 2 parcel description. Does a 1 parcel, mean that it’s one property under the same lot, meaning that a 2 parcel counts as two single family homes instead of one multi family?

I apologize if my final paragraph doesn’t make sense.

Thank you !

Thank you!

Post: One year home warranty’s

Currently reading The House Hacking Strategy by Craig curelop, and he mentions one year warranty’s after closing. That seems like a great deal but is it common for the seller to agree to that? I’m assuming if the seller agrees to the one year warranty he has the right to increase the asking price, correct? After all the research I have done, this is the first time I am reading about one year warranty’s. Thank you In advance.
