I've seen so many illegal immigrants around me at Los Angeles.  Especially if their children are going to school, they wanted to be the best tenants to let their children finish the school at least.  As long as they have bank account and you receive at least one or two month rent deposit, I wouldn't go against it at all.

You have some great advice and great reads ahead of you.

You should try and find a local meetup for real estate. Great way to meet local real estate investors.

If you find yourself in Korea again come and checkout our meetup.

I wish if I could.  I have never been Korea since 1999.  Actually, this coming late April is my first time visiting Korea since new millenium.

thx for the advice :)

Thank you for your service! Don't forget about your VA loan! We used that to get started. We bought a personal and than when we were transferred we turned it into a rental. We are buy and hold investors.

Look forward to seeing you around.

I'm thinking about doing same thing! We used VA loan to do this, and soon will start rent it out.

Thank you for the advice.

Hi, I'm Brian who just got out of Military active duty service about a year ago.  Now currently working as research specialist in Veterans Affairs. I'm originally from Korea, then Los Angeles.  Now we (me and wife) are settled at Raleigh-Durham area.

My real estate experience is actually almost 0.  I started getting more interests on real estate after we made our first home at Cary, NC.  Then with rich dad poor dad.. typical step :) .

I would like to learn as much as I can from BP, including podcast and UBG (currently reading them all!).  My goal is to become successful real estate investor & to become independent from 9-5 jobs eventually.  Also plan to do business with my wife later too (she's been huge fan of rich dad poor dad since year of 2000! ).

It is my great honor to introduce myself here, and I will do my best to assist other people as well as I'm being assisted from others.

Hope you all enjoy the day!
