Hi all,

I am looking to purchase a building that has 26 units. I am going to submit an offer for $800/$850k with about $200k down. I am looking for financing — looking for recommendations!

What are your thoughts on investing in Los Angeles? Ex project: purchase single family, tear down, and build multiunit.

Since you only plan to stay in the area for a few years, your best bet would be to buy multifamily. This way you will keep those units as investments and grow them over time. As mentioned above, LA has strict rent control laws, however, if the rent collected covers your expenses, you should be fine. Good luck!

I think that this would be great! I can sign my husband up for this -- or find his profile Ben Ballinger!
