Hello! Looking to buy a small multi (2-4 units) to do STR/MTR. Would love any connections to folks investing in these two cities!

Christopher Wild, that's amazing that you're on the first page for St. Pete.  Do you have advice for how to do that? I update listing calendar daily, have good prices and have good reviews, but I'm not on the top. Thanks!

Has anyone heard of creative solutions to do an owner occupied STR when you aren't the owner occupying it, but staying legal? We have had friends do this illegally where they claim it's their primary residence, but that makes me feel uncomfortable.

However, I was wondering if there is a creative way to do it. For example, there is a duplex and the owner lives in one and wants to do an STR in the other, but doesn't want to deal with the hassle, you could partner with them? Or somehow do Airbnb arbitrage? Just trying to be creative in the land of STR regulations. Love how on BP, they have you think not IF you can do something, but HOW you can do it. :)

Hello!

Does anyone have experience with investing in Abilene, TX?

Thanks!

Katie

Hello!

My husband and I have a STR/MTR in our primary residence in Colorado and ready to take the plunge to buy something in a new market. How would you go about researching this? We are thinking of a duplex, rent out one side LT and do STR/MTR on the other side. I have looked at Airdna.com and FurnishedFinder Stats page. Any other places you recommend using? Or even just personal testimonies of where it's going well.

Thanks!

Katie
