I am re-starting a monthly investor meetup in Manteca.  The goal of the group is to help each other with our businesses through education, sharing what is working and what is not and networking.  6 to 6:30 will be networking.  6:30 to 7:30 will be market updates, education, questions and answers.  7:30 top 8 will be more marketing

I have an investor networking group I have put together.  We meet the first wen of every month and go over successes and challenges.   The goal of the group is to be able to sit around a table and discuss real estate investing, helping each other to achieve more.  The people who attend the group very each month and range from realtors, contractors, lenders, wholesalers and landlords.  We have both active and soon to be active investors.  

Myself and a partner are currently rehading a home we purchased from one of the wholesalers we met through the group.  Networking is a huge part of real estate investing.  Call me or respond to this post if you have any questions.  We love to have Biggerpockets members attend.

Hi Anthony, welcome to bigger pockets. You may want to look outside the bay area. The Central Valley is doing well for investors starting out, due to the lower prices. A good option may be to buy a house that needs a little work, fix it up and rent it out. The BRRR method. This will give you some equity in the property and will help if prices go down. You can make money in any market. Properties are easier to get when the market is going down. Just make sure you are making money on the rent. I would not recommend buying anything with a negative cashflow in hopes of gaining equity in the future. Use the BP tools to analyze the property before purchasing. I am very impressed with you young investors, with all you enthusiasm, you will go far :-)

I have started an REI group in Manteca. We are still relatively new and are looking for additional members. The goal of this group is to stay small, with people of varying skills to help each other out in our individual businesses and to partner up on occasion. We currently have 2 real estate brokers, a hard money lender, a traditional lender and several active and soon to be active investors.
